I was born and brought up in Gujarat, India. I take pride in saying that. My parents belong to Assam, India, and they have given me (like every parent) the tradition and culture of the place they belong to. I take pride in saying that too. The culture of Gujarat has (obviously) had a much more profound effect on my behavior than the culture of Assam. The culture of Assam is rich and bountiful and yet I am thankful that I was born and brought up in Gujarat. My wife would actually kill me if she saw this so I better be very clear about what I am saying.
